Exclusive events
When I first started Last Z, I made the mistake almost everyone makes: I joined the first alliance that invited me without checking anything. It had 60 members listed but barely 8 active daily. I lost weeks of progress by not receiving help on buildings and missing out on Versus events entirely. Since then I've learned that in Last Z, the alliance you choose is just as important as the heroes you upgrade.
This guide is based on my real experience in the game. I'll explain exactly how the alliance system works, what mistakes to avoid, and how to get the most out of every feature β whether you're F2P or spending a little.
π Why an active alliance changes everything
π€
Collective help
In my current alliance with 55 active members, an 8-hour build completes in under 15 minutes with everyone's help. It's the most underrated benefit in the game β and the one that makes the biggest difference day to day.
π¬
Alliance technologies
Tech buffs are permanent and apply to everyone. When your alliance unlocks +10% troop attack or improved training speed, you receive it automatically β just for being in the right alliance.
π‘οΈ
Real protection
Being in a strong alliance makes you a less attractive target. Aggressive players prefer attacking bases without alliances or with inactive ones. Deterrence is an invisible but constant benefit.
π
Free gifts
When a member recharges diamonds or completes certain events, they generate gifts that everyone can claim. In an active alliance this can add valuable speedups and fragments every week at zero cost.
π
Alliance shop
The contribution points you accumulate by donating to technologies are redeemed here. My recommendation: always prioritize time speedups β they're the scarcest and most valuable resource long-term.
βοΈ
Premium events
Versus, Duel and State Siege are inaccessible without an alliance. One well-played Versus week gives you more resources than several days of solo farming β and it's also where the most exclusive rewards in the game are found.
π How to choose the right alliance in Last Z
π
Look at real activity, not member count: Before joining any alliance, I check how many members connected in the last 24-48 hours. An alliance of 40 all-active members is worth more than one with 80 where half are inactive.
π
Check the server ranking: Top 5-10 alliances usually control strategic territories with premium resources. If you can get into one of those, do it β the benefits are noticeable from day one.
π¬
Evaluate technology levels: Alliance technologies reflect months of consistent donations. An alliance with advanced combat technologies means committed members β that's the environment where you want to grow.
π
Talk to a member before joining: Leadership is everything. An organized R5 who coordinates schedules and communicates strategies makes the difference between an alliance that wins events and one that wastes them.
β‘ The 3 alliance events that impact your progress the most
Weekly
βοΈ Alliance Versus
The most important event in the game, without a doubt. Two alliances compete for several days attacking map structures. What surprised me most at first was the sheer amount of rewards β massive speedups, exclusive hero fragments and resources you can't get any other way. Even as F2P, actively participating makes an enormous difference to your account.
Regular
π₯ Alliance Duel
Here points are earned by completing Full Preparedness tasks in a coordinated way. The key is syncing up with your alliance to do the same task types at the same time β that multiplies points significantly. Organized alliances dominate this event without any extra effort.
Elite
πΊοΈ State Siege
The highest level of competition in Last Z. Alliances from across the server fight for key structures that grant global buffs. It requires all members active simultaneously, real-time communication and a clear strategy. If your alliance competes here seriously, you're already at a different level of the game.
ποΈ Rank system R1 to R5: what each one means
R5
Alliance Leader
Full control. Manages territories, starts wars, kicks members and must transfer leadership before leaving. If the R5 disappears without transferring, the alliance is left leaderless β one of the most common reasons alliances fall apart.
R4
Officer
Broad management permissions: accepts members, coordinates events, manages territories. Should only be given to players who have demonstrated real activity and commitment over time β not new friends without a track record.
R3
Veteran
Can accept join requests and handle basic functions. The first level of trust that combines activity with responsibility. Ideal as a stepping stone before R4 to evaluate a player's judgment.
R2
Senior Member
Standard access with minor additional privileges. Recognition for consistent time and participation within the alliance.
R1
New Member
The entry point. You already have access to all collective benefits β technologies, help, shop and events. Now just demonstrate activity to move up in rank.
π‘ What I would do differently if I started over
π
Donate to technologies from day 1: Each donation gives contribution points for the shop. Hold the donate button to activate x2, x5 and x10 multipliers β a small detail that saves a lot of time over weeks.
π€²
Help every time I log in: Takes 30 seconds and in active alliances that help comes back automatically. It's the most efficient cycle in the game β costs nothing and benefits everyone equally.
π
Participate in events even partially: You don't need to play for hours during Versus. Even contributing a few points daily adds to the group result and maintains your reputation as an active member.
π’
Read the R5's announcements: The most common mistake among new players β ignoring announcements and missing key event schedules. The information is there, you just have to check it every time you log in.

Alliance Intelligence
I use this section every time before joining a Versus or Siege. From here I can see all my allies' active rallies on the map β troops concentrated and ready to attack or defend. It also shows recent attacks the alliance received: who attacked, which member, and when. The system automatically marks the attacker's location on the map, letting me coordinate a quick response with the team. If you don't check this before a major event, you're playing blind.
Alliance Help
The mechanism new players underestimate the most. From here I can see which allies have pending buildings, research or healing and offer assistance with one click. With the Diplomat hero maxed out and an active alliance of 50+ members, I can build 8-hour structures in minutes. My routine: I log in, help all my allies before doing anything else. Takes 30 seconds and has an enormous impact that comes back to you automatically.
Alliance Technology
Technologies are collective research that grant permanent buffs to all members: troop attack and defense, construction speed, resource production and more. To advance them, members donate resources β the more I donate, the more contribution points I accumulate for the Shop. My advice: prioritize combat and construction technologies first β they have the most impact for everyone. If each member donates a little daily, technologies advance surprisingly fast.
Alliance Gifts
Gifts are generated when a member recharges diamonds or completes special events β and all active members can claim them. They contain speedups, resources and sometimes valuable hero fragments. Check this section daily without fail: gifts are time-limited and completely free. It's one of those resources that get lost simply by not having the habit of checking.
Alliance Shop
This is where I redeem the contribution points accumulated by donating to technologies. It offers construction and research speedups, all types of resources, and occasionally exclusive hero fragments. My personal strategy: always prioritize time speedups over resources β they're the scarcest long-term and make the biggest difference when you need to advance quickly. The shop rotates periodically, so check it every time you log in.
Alliance Building
The Alliance Center determines the maximum level of the alliance: how many members it can have, what technologies unlock, and what collective buffs are available. Leaders (R4-R5) upgrade it using resources donated by members. An alliance with a high-level Center has real competitive advantages in server events like State Siege β it's the difference between an alliance that competes seriously and one that just participates.
Alliance Ranking
Shows the classification of all server alliances by total power. Top alliances usually control the most strategic territories on the map β those that grant server-wide buffs to all their members. I monitor the ranking regularly to understand the competitive landscape: who's a threat, who could be a diplomatic ally, and what objectives are realistic for my alliance right now.
Alliance Log
The complete history of what happens inside the alliance: who joined or was expelled, territories captured or lost, donations made and rank changes. As a regular member I rarely use it, but when I was R4 I realized how valuable it is: lets you identify inactive members, detect problematic behavior and have full transparency over the group's activity. If you have leadership responsibilities, review it weekly.
Alliance Skill
Temporary buffs that R4-R5 can activate to benefit all members for a limited period: faster training speed, reduced construction, more troop attack. Activating them consumes alliance resources, so the ideal is to use them strategically β right before a Versus, during a planned collective construction rush, or when there's an event with rewards worth maximizing.
See how the members section works.
Member List
Shows all members with their current rank, account power and last login. When I was R4, this view was my main tool: I could quickly identify who was active, who hadn't logged in for days and how power was distributed within the group. My personal benchmark: if less than 60% of members have connected in the last 48 hours, the alliance is in trouble. Inactive for more than 7 days without notice are clear candidates for removal to make room for more committed players.
Rank System R1 to R5
Each rank has different permissions and responsibilities. R5 has full control β manages territories, starts wars, kicks members. R4 has broad management permissions, ideal for reliable and active members. R3 can accept join requests and handle basic functions. R2 and R1 are regular members. Moving up requires consistent activity β time in the alliance isn't enough, you need to participate in events and donate regularly.
Member Activity
The most objective tool for evaluating each player's real contribution. Shows last login, contribution points donated, event participation and help sent. In my experience, a moderately powerful but very active player contributes more than a high-power one who only shows up occasionally. Reviewing activity weekly lets me make informed decisions about who deserves a promotion, who needs a warning, and who should give their spot to someone more committed.
Promotions and Demotions
Promoting someone to R4 means giving them access to sensitive administrative functions β only do it with players who have demonstrated activity, loyalty and good judgment over time. Demotions are more delicate: I always notify the member before lowering their rank and explain why. Doing it without communication creates conflicts that damage the whole alliance's atmosphere. A transparent, well-managed rank system motivates everyone to grow within the group.
Administrative and control options.
Alliance Settings
The R5 adjusts everything from here: name, description, emblem, language and entry requirements. In my opinion the most important part is entry requirements β setting a minimum account power filters out very new players, and enabling manual approval lets me review each request before accepting. A clear description with the activity schedule, communication language and participation expectations saves a lot of misunderstandings long-term. It's the alliance's business card.
Applicant Management
Join requests arrive here. I can see the account power, HQ level and alliance history of each applicant. My criteria when accepting: does their expected activity level fit our culture? Accepting inactive players just to fill spots is the most common and most damaging mistake β they take up space that could be used for someone committed. I'd rather have 40 active members than 80 where half never show up.
Alliance Mail
The internal messaging system I use most for private warnings or specific instructions without revealing plans in the general chat. R4 and R5 can also send mass communications to all members at once β ideal for announcing upcoming events, strategy changes or participation reminders. Much more effective than posting in general chat where the message gets buried quickly.
Manage Benefits
Management of reward distribution among members β war loot, captured resources or special event prizes. Transparency here is fundamental: in alliances where benefits are distributed opaquely or unfairly, members lose motivation quickly. The best leaders I've seen establish clear criteria based on real participation and measurable contribution β that makes everyone want to get more involved.
Alliance Announcements
Fixed communications visible to everyone when entering the alliance section. The most effective communication tool in the game for important messages: Versus schedules, Siege strategies, alliance rules. When I was R4, keeping announcements updated was my top priority β outdated information creates confusion and distrust, which are the two main enemies of any organized alliance.
Leave Alliance
If you decide to switch alliances, choose your timing carefully. Leaving during an active Versus or Siege can seriously hurt your team and burn bridges with players you'll encounter again on the server. If you're R5, transfer leadership before leaving β you can't leave while being the top leader. After leaving there's a cooldown period before you can join another alliance. Plan it in advance so you don't miss important events in the process.
